Trip to Taman Negara - Day 2

The 2 dungus, myself and roommate (forgive me roomie if you ever read this hehe) was the 1st to arrive at the breakfast area as we were told that it was 7:30am. Everyone else was still sleeping, oh well! At least we had an enjoyable 1 hour breakfast whereas everyone else was practically rushing through breakfast. Here are some pictures of the resort that we stayed in.

A lot of them stayed on till nearly 2am the night before for karaoke. I was tired and couldn't stand the cigaratte smoke PLUS the horrifying tone deaf singing! I know I can't sing for nuts so I should not be complaining. Oh well, after a good breakfast, it was time to get ready for the CANOPY WALK. We travelled by boat to the jungle or place that we were supposed to hike.

Here we are all ready to start our exercise of the year for most of them! Thank God I still have my dancing as this really reveals how unfit most people are hehe.....This is still the beginning and you will see a landing where people rest to wait for their turn to go on the canopy aka hanging bridge.

They even have RULES:

Anyways, for those who can't see, it's basically rules for the canopy walkway where we can't smoke, don't shake the bridge, etc... which nobody bothers. I'm a good example hehehe as it's fun to scare the rest who are afraid of heights. It was ok for me. Only got dizzy after much shaking haha....indirect backfire! These are pictures of me and some colleagues on the bridge...as well as the landings that we stopped at. It can only take 4 people at 1 time.

Unfortunately, we could not do the Rapid Shooting because water level was too low so we proceeded to the visit the 'Orang Asli's settlement' after our lunch. Lunch was by the river which was nice.

Orang Asli's settlement. Interestingly enough, they are the Original Aborigenes living like a nomad moving from one place to another. So far, they have been living in the current place for 6 months now. Not exactly that primitive as they must have gotter a fair amount of exposure. Sone even have watches and smoking away cigs. Wonder where they get the money!!

Since we could not do Rapid Shooting due to low water level, we were still equally drenched coz we had 2 boats as you have seen in the pic above. What the drivers did was to go side by side and just place the oar a little slightly under the water's surface, the water will just splash to the side that you are guiding it too. This went and on and on a few times. It was really fun with everyone getting soaked completely. Oohhh, after the fun's over, everyone went back to pack, change or bathe to get ready for departure back home. Bye Bye Taman Negara!!
