Singapore Trade Visit - Sat, 24th Nov

Ahhh I had such a good night sleep that I just couldn't wake up. Glad that there wasn't any alarm to wake up early. I was due to fly back Sat evening but due to some reason, I stayed back another night and decided to leave on Sunday late afternoon instead. Caught some silly show with a monkey pairing up with a man in a spy movie. Saw till the end and quickly got ready to leave for my 2nd day of trade visit.

This was the day that I aimed to cover all the outlets on my list as well as additional outlets along the way. I did that successfully which I must say that I'm rather proud of! Believe it or not, my last stop was Taka and that was already 7pm. My friend picked me up (Traffic was heavy too!), sent me to my hotel to pick up my bag which I've left at the concierge and headed to check into another place to put up for the additional night. My friend then waited for me to shower and proceeded for dinner.

Clarke Quay was the option for dining and boy was it happening! Perhaps it happened to also have lots of outdoor stage events and all. We dined at this restaurant called "Pump" and it serves decent fusion of food. It was really noisy as we were sitted next to a stage where they were holding an event in search of the winner best short film which best represents Singapore by young students.

Above is particularly unique though I ain't surprised why it got a lot of negative oppositions or rather, discriminating to the unwell people. It's a bar called Clinic where customers sits in an actual wheel chairs as well as actual hospital beds with drips by the side.

Unfortunately I was heaving my usual bad sinus day so I wasn't enjoying as much as I would have on a normal day. Having said that, it was still good to see Clarke Quay after so many years of having just vague memories about it. After dinner, we walked around from one end to the other and weather was awfully WARM!! We watched this Reverse Bungy which was one of the so called amusement that they had. Had we had an early dinner, I may opt to try the bungy. Imagine what could happen on a full stomach....

We had Turkish ice cream which has similar texture of those offered by Lecka Lecka back home. This is one store to stop by because they have a unique way of selling you the icecream where they will play with it before actually handing it over to you. Walked for a bit more and retired at 1:30am back to the hotel.

Singapore Trade Visit - Fri, 23rd Nov

Left for SG on Friday. Didn't really know what to pack and since it was only for 1 night, I packed light. Took only the Quiksilver Bag and the huge Anya Hindmarch that could practically pack anything inside. Anyhow, took the 8:55am flight and reached slightly pass 10am. I decided to check out the electronic shops and got attracted to some unique looking speakers for the IPod.

The reason I went to SG was for Market Visit of which I did and also put up a night at my usual hotel. I left slightly past 12pm to my 1st outlet at Suntec. PK waited for me there and got me a really nice box of chocs that I was told that I must try and finished once open. The ice pack could help keep the chocs from melting 5 hours from time of purchase. Chocs were from Royce. She accompanied everywhere I went and was dressed nicely hehe whereas I was in just my casual jeans and tank top. Feeling a bit unglamorous next to her (haha forgive me if you read this PK!)

PK bought me a belated birthday lunch at a Sudanese restaurant in Suntec which was REALLY REALLY NICE!!! Somehow they were just erm different! Can't exactly explain but you would have thought it was just normal Chinese dishes but the minute it goes into your mouth, you had be surprised. After covering at least 8 outlets, it was rather tiring because I travelled from the East to the West and headed back to Central where my hotel was. Later we split ways as she headed back home and we going to our SG office area to meet an old friend in SG. Her name's Serene and I wanted to go nearby too as it was really sweet of her to come and meet me despite that she was over 7 months pregnant! Appreciate that my dear!

We met up at my office in Bukit Timah. I did a quick market visit and we headed off my dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby. Name was Casa Roma if I remembered correctly. The food was great!!! Cooks were Italian, owner was Japanese. Quite an interesting mix! My main course was unique to me. Serene had the pizza which if I recalled correctly was the Quattro Stagioni (Artichoke, salami, mushroom, olives & mozzarella) & a Minestrone Soup. I had a Main Course which I can't remember the name but it was some beef wrapped in spinach wish mash potato (Really mashed up). I think the name was Involtini Di Gamberi Con Prosciutto Di Parm. We both enjoyed my meal and the catching up. I think the next I see her will probably after she has delivered. After dinner, I waited for her sis to come pick her up and got myself a cab to the hotel.

Well, what else can i be blogging but work for the week from Mon to Thurs! Basically it wasn't too busy a week so could still managed. Only went to gym once on Mon, what a lazy bum I am! My body was aching all the way because I haven't done Pump for a while and straight away 'gung ho' about it. Oh btw, I had a free snack cum supper. Did my workout at Curve's FF and wanted something light because it was already passed 9:30pm then.

After having scout something within budget and less er fats, I stopped at Kenny Roger's Chicken. Didn't feel like having much protein as it felt heavy for night and saw that they offered fruit salad. I opt for that instead and guess what, fruits they gave me were either towards tailend especially the watermelon with the you know white section part and even th
e edges of orange. Anyways to cut the story short, I made a polite complaint and guess what, my food was free!!!
Rest of the days were just work, nothing new until I decided at the very last minute on Wed evening that I had to go to SG on Friday and had my colleague to search for tickets and book hotel on Thurs. Beat that! I was freaking out on Thurs afternoon not even sure if I had secured myself a hotel. SG can be really pack on weekends!

BIG DAY!!

Here's the big day!!!! It's been a while since I met up with Darcy because I'm sure that she's rather busy with the wedding preparation and all. I made my way to Mont Kiara and arrived at 10:10am. Headed straight to the reception area just above the pool. Met Darcy's good line dance friends and sat with them. I won't blog so much of this all will be done by CC. Here are some pictures of the beautiful setup for the tea ceremony.

After the tea ceremony, I headed on to Tiffany's housewarming for a short while since I had a bit of time before I went for my miraculous makeover session later. Obviously was overdressed for it but still went anyway. Left in less than one hour towards Midvalley. I was on time, amazing! I promised I will show pictures of my makeup and tada, here we go at the bottom! Call me vain but I want to keep the pictures so that I know how the make up was done and looked like. Hair do was good as well which costed a lot! Left for MO hotel after that for the evening session.

Busy Wedding week!

Ah hah! it's all almost a 2 week delayed blog but I will try to sum up as much as my memory can hold! I hit the gym as often as I could in the last few days I had just before the wedding on Sat. I learnt one thing! Weight losing is definitely not one that can be done at the last minute! Oh well. Work was alright but I was leaving almost slightly earlier than my usual for a few times stressing out on what to wear, getting the accessories, nails done, etc. As if la I'm getting married pulak!

Did my mani and pedi on Thurs evening at BV II, Glitters. The pedi section was good. I liked the way that they really clean ur feet, give it a good scrub and massage. It was the fastest session I ever had, having both done at the same time by 2 different people of course. I realised that I couldn't handle it as I don't like fancy the section where they have at a go at your dead skin. Worse when they were working on your toes and fingers at once! Glitters give discount on their pedis on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Don't ask me why, it's their policy!

Headed on to the Curve to meet up with Nads to buy last minute things for the wedding. Found it at Blush! Thank God! Else pengsan, coz only left Friday to buy. Left for Nads's pad to try on the gown with matching shoes and accessories. After trying on and having several changes in between, I stuck to my black gown as the evening session's attire and the simple and happy beige dress for the morning session.

Mum happened to see how high the shoes that I had with me and knowing me so well, I may just fall off the shoes haha in the means of trying to look elegant and fashionable at the same time. She bought me a beautiful black pair of shoes on Friday where she had earlier bought herself the silver pair for another wedding last month. Low heels are my savior!! Thanks mum!!!! You're the best tho er I know it ain't FOC!!! So I'm all ready for the auspicious day the next day.

Relaxing Sunday

Sunday was as usual tiring for me because of the ongoing activities in the past few days. I was rather late for church. By the time I reach, mum already asked me to help prepare the fellowship. After that, I went on to the studio to help Becca replace her class as she's busy with the Astro dance competition.

I cancelled my dinner appointment too which was meant to be at Cafe Cafe coz I really felt like a glutton after having to eat good food few days in a row for my birthday. Guys, I know it's a good gesture but I really have to watch my diet haha in case I can't fit into the dress that I meant to wear for friend's wedding coming Saturday! I chilled at home in the end.

Chicago Musical Sat

Weee....almost non-stop activities! Tired but I guess it's all worth it. Patheticly enough, the very day that I agreed (only the night before) that I will go watch the Chicago Musical, there was a demonstration by the public in KL so that pretty much caused a whole load of havoc and traffic as well.

My ticket

I had students coming from Seremban to take up private lessons with me and luckily the morning one managed to reach. She did tell me that she got stuck in the Sg. Besi area for at least an hour which is not the norm for a weekend. Anyhow, believe it or not, I took like an hour to get to TTDI to teach 2 of them. The only one there waiting for me was the one that left in the morning. I continued with my lesson and headed up for a quick change to leave for KL Con Centre. I got to know later that the 2nd person was stuck in the traffic for 5 hours!!!

It was a nightmare almost at every part of KL only to find out about the demo much later. It has caused massive traffic jam and I was a hour late for my musical. I reached just 5 minutes before the intermission after having parked the car and finding my way to the Planery Hall. We just catch up to chat outside as queue was rather long for the food.

Enjoyed the session despite having missed 1 hour. Most of them have super toned bodies, male and female alike. There were hilarious, melancholy and funny scenes too.

Ozeki Jap Cuisine!

I woke up to join Body Step just for the first time to get a feel of what it is! Boy, it wasn't easy! One is because I lacked of sleep and Two, learnt a lesson not to think that everything's easily coordinated just coz I am a dancer! It's really good for the thighs! Anyone who wants fabulous, toned looking thighs should go for this class often. My legs were aching by the end of the session tho I cheated a few times in between to get a drink haha!

I left my car at Nad's house and Wei Ney picked me up from there. It was about 9pm so that was quite late. Headed off to Impiana to pick up Wei Ney's friend whose name is Steve. Yippers! Another round of food! dining! Coolies! Right after my night, we met up with Wei Ney's friend from Singapore and decided to have dinner at Ozeki as it was running rather late and wasn't sure where to head to in town. I was on leave on Friday. Glad I took the leave coz I wouldn't have been able to wake up after the late night before.

Starter for everyone

Dobin mushi

Heaven - Soft Shell Crab

After dinner, we headed on to check out Steve's new condo called MARC Residence which is just opposite the road of Poppy's. It looks really grand and of course also costing a bomb for it!

Professional Front View

Swimming Pool Level View

Proceeded for a place to drink and ended up at 7AteNine. It's actually the 2nd outlet of SouLeD OuT which not many people seemed to know. Well, it's an entirely different setup and the people who frequents are of a different crowd too. Had 2 refreshing jugs of Sangria yummy!

We started with a bottle of house pouring white wine (sux actually) whilst waiting for ddt! Patrick was my welcome present! I lurveee this fella....so sweet, cute and fat! :P

The group of us before Nads & Ree arrive

My other friend, Nads came 20 mins later me :P (sorry women, dont blame me for putting upfront hehe) with Ree. This La Vista Bistro is located at TTDI Plaza, new area within Taman Tun and went with them to the parking lot for the 1st time. Check out what we found at the visitor's carpark (B2) level....

now we know where NAZA stores their cars!!

Cool eh? We were thinking probably just taking the C Class and sell it to buy ourselves 4 Minis! hehe..If only stealing was so easy sigh :D Anyways, we parked and looked for the lift to bring us up to the dining area. Everyone then placed their orders. It was my 2nd time but it was everyone's first time at that place. It's a little secluded and it's quite small so can it can be considered for private functions.

Here comes the best bit...our dinner. Now lets see who had what. Ceh, indirect advertising hehe ;)

Us gals at Sky Bar

Birthday weeeeee!!

It's mah burfday, my bird day, my besday! Yay!!! Got already some sms prior to sleeping. I knocked out not long past midnight despite knowing the fact that people will text to wish me. Got up feeling good knowing it's my day. Didn't exactly plan what to do except that I was looking forward to my dinner in the evening. Had Dim Sum breakfast with parents and granny at a new restaurant in the Business Centre area.

After that, did a bit of laundry and headed off to the gym for some workout knowing that I will eat loads! Did my RPM for the 1st time. It was seriouslyyyy difficult to pull thru the hour but I did! I did about 30 mins of cardio prior to the RPM and boy did my er a%# hurt. I really wonder how the trainers do it without feeling butt pain after that. On top of that, the trainer is a guy...go figure....

Supposed to have lunch with Peter who wanted to celebrate my birthday but oh well, too bad for the late breakfast and also that he had a meeting to attend to so decided against it. I came back from gym about 2+ and had a shower and rested a bit. I helped mum to finish the advertisement for Aunty Pat's as requested, Took me quite a while to compile. Almost done with pictures before leaving except the text part.

Weeee, short week

Weekend was short as usual but happy because I will only be working for 3 days from Mon - Wed. Thurs is Deepavali day and I applied for leave on Fri! Ceh ceh, kononnya birthday big deal. I had so much to do despite the little time that I have. It's one of the worst Mondays that I have had. It was almost meeting the whole day therefore couldn't do much work. That's annoying because I have to cramp everything else within the next 2 days due to the fact that I am on leave as well as the presentations expected by boss latest Wednesday since Monday is the first presentation.

My 2nd college event was at KDU and it went very well. Speaker was Hannah Tan. She was nice and pretty and with all due respect, I haven't a clue that she was so petite. The interesting session of the day was when the next invited guest took over. It was a face reader and she obviously got everyone engaged when she started describing about how your parts define perhaps your destiny. In other words, destiny management la! They (there was another guy) from the Mastery Academy, I think belonging to Joey Yap, one of the reknown feng shui masters now.

Went back, had late lunch around 4+, hate a TC with my TH colleagues till 5+ and followed by another CARE meeting in the office which ended about 6+. How la to work, you tell me! Really pisses me off to be honest. So much time wasting! Anyways, I just dropped everything and went back after that. Couldn't be bothered. I left to teach Wendy some pointers for the Advance category for 2 hours and headed on home after a drink. Bad thing is I had Teh Halia, couldn't sleep after that.

Tuesday wasn't much of a difference. Very tired and sleepy to begin with because I only slept for 5 hours. What was I doing? No event for the day but worked on my presentations as it really takes time. Picked up whatever that I had to do on Monday and tried to finish as much as possible. Lunch was at Chilli's as my boss and team decided to buy me early birthday lunch as everyone was definitely busy other days. Thanks Guys! I had my Firecracker Fish Fillet and just warm water. There was Nachos to share and followed by a cake (dunno the name) to share. So fulllll!! Guilty man to eat so much because I have to balance my diet at the same time haih! Continued with work after that and left to teach my class at night.

Wednesday was my last day of the college event which was held at the Help College near my office. Speaker for the day was Hannah Lo, winner of the reality show, "Love Perhaps" organized by Cornetto. She was really pretty and sweet. Event started late so we had a brief eating session at Fig Tree first. I didn't join for lunch where it was another birthday celebration for another colleague, Emily. Turnout for the college session was rather bad at first but having waiting for quite a bit, we decided to just go ahead because Hannah had to leave plus I really have SO MUCH to do! Ended up having a fair bit of a crowd and Hannah I must say was good in keeping the crowds engaged! After that, I drove to Delicious hehe and tapau a "Death By Ice Chocolate" for myself. How not to be fat? A lesson I learnt though is never EVER tapau that drink. It's impossible to drink out of a plastic and it's also with just a straw. It's like hardened ice cream plus concentrated chocolate which has to be stirred. Oh well, paid a price to learn as always.

Came dinner time, it was at Rakuzen. My ex BDF colleagues organized for me. I was FASHIONABLY LATE for my dinner becaues I had my meeting late with my boss on her expectations and comments on the presentations. I haaaaaatttttte that! Of course kena big time la. I like princess only, got them to order food for me and food was already ready a while by the time I got there! Sorry la TPS and Lee! Thanks a lot for the gesture. Sorry that it ended up short and lets catch up another day k!

Steamboat Dinner

Dinner to my parents I thinkw as good. It was raining so steamboat was a "spot on" thing or answer to the breezy weather. Had it at Patrick Teo's Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant. I made it like a so called family gathering plus also to celebrate mum's birthday before her actual birthday as knowing that I am usually occupied on weekdays.

Me still haven't finished getting what I need for the wedding. Consulted my buddy on Sat and she has given me quite a few tips and pointers. Need to find shoes and matchines accessories. One of it was to go the lingerie shop. La Senza had what I wanted but the size wasn't available, sigh! Need to go back to the one in 1U to check it out. Will do the rest of my shopping over this week la.

After dinner, I headed onto TSB, Bangsar as my friend organized a farewell dinner. How can I not go la since I know I won't be doing it on weekdays. She's leaving for Vietnam this Wednesday for good to oversee and expand dad's business. Good for her. I guess things have really changed after her staying in England for a good 8 years. She's back for I think 3 years now. Well, ain't that close after I came back but it was all cool coz she took care of me whilst I was studying. I chilled for approx 2 hours plus and left for home. Busy busy weekend....didn't finish what my mum wanted me to do....sigh she's going to kill me....
